lyrics of the Mount Vesuvius Song and
listen to the tune. Repeat after me.”
T “Now sing with me.”
T “Very well, now let’s organise the
movements to go with the song. I’m
going to divide you in three rings: the
inner ring with the tallest children, the
central ring with shorter pupils, and
finally the outer ring with the shortest
pupils. I will be in the centre.
Now, look at me and raise your hands
over the head... Are you ready? Follow
these instructions:
• while singing the first verse,
move your arms back, miming an
explosion;
• singing the second verse, open the
arms, like a cloud;
• in the third verse, you are asking
each other what to do, so mime an
interrogative expression;
• in the fourth verse, put your arms
forward and move the fingers to
mime all the volcanic materials that La Lesson 3
